  • Joel Grey plays the better MC, without a doubt.

  • I think that rather than playing the BETTER MC, Alan Cumming plays a different take on him. He sexed him up, made him more over-dramatic and appealing for Broadway. Joel Grey played him rather creepily, and was an enjoyable performance as the MS, but is a drastically different character. That doesn't necessarily make him better.

  • @MadameChristie wait...maybe not...God I can't tell. Maybe it's just the makeup and the braids...

  • WAITWAITWAIT...is that Pauley Perette on the left?! As in Abbey from NCIS?! O_o

  • Sorry.. *at* the Kit Kat Club.

  • I'm guessing the direction of this production wanted "Two Ladies" to be as unpleasant as possible. There is something deeply nasty about this version of the song- you can imagine the audience of the Kit Kat club squirming with discomfort.

  • I'm not a fan of Alan's portrayal of Emcee. I think he over-"sexed" it. I find it creepy and inappropriate. I love his singing of it though.

  • My favorite version of all I've seen

  • @toxicshockchic Are you serious? How the hell? I so envy you! Our high school did an award winning version of this, but it was like years ago, before I went there. (I'm a freshman.)

  • I actually do like it, and I think it is a very good interpretation (definitely taking the audience out of the comfort zone!), but I miss Fosse's choreography, the covert sexuality in the movie.

  • I still can't believe we did this show for our Middle School Musical.
