    By the way, when the interviewer asked Bernard Sumner if the fact that Sumner was a self-taught musician and made lots of mistakes when he was young had contributed to Joy Division's unique sound, he ascribed it to Hookie's equipment not being able to bring out 'distortion', so as a result, Hookie had to play 'high notes'... Is this all Bernard's deliberate way to be humble instead of saying "Yes, I was creative!" or was he seriously saying it?

  • They finished the UK minitour last week, but are doing some dates in Paris and the USA shortly
