Video taken this morning 11/12/09 . We have an even higher tide this afternoon that will add 3 more feet to the surge. These houses may be gone!

  • i doubt that any houses there will be lost, i've seen far worse storms

  • Always respect a storm like this! As you can see from my follow-up video, Alexander's on the Bay, a popular restaurant, WAS lost and is surrounded by water

  • used to live on the bay.

  • The same dumbasses that decide to live where earthquakes happen, or wild fires, or by Volcanoes, or where tornadoes always happen, or in flood plains. At least you know its coming and can prepare. This place RARELY ever sees water like this. Normally the waves are about 3 ft give or take. This isnt the ocean, its the bay.

  • who's dumbass idea was it to build these houses right next to a raging body of water? never take their advice again.

  • Wow I just saw this video on tv

  • Great video thanks for sharing it. Really reminds you of how strong the waters can get. Very sad to see this happening to people's homes and hopefully there isn't too much damage. Stay safe Virginia!

  • WOW! Thanks for posting this! Makes me wish I was there to see and experience it, and the damage it's doing to my rental, LOL!
