  • Hahaha I LOVE this. To all those dumb girls who go in tanning beds!

Im gonna have silky, smooth skin while your skin looks like nasty leather!

  • damn i wonder where she goes.

looking like she's 20 in one shot and than 30 in another?

    impressive.

and what are those spots on her face. thats not what Melanoma looks like.

    bitch, go see a dermitologist.

    dumb ass commercial

  • @blabblab1212 Also that term "get your head out of your ass" is a very terrible thing to use. It shows unwillingness to negotiate and creates this terrible arrogance. What ever happened to politely showing that someone differs in opinion or fact?

  • @blabblab1212 I believe you are the uninformed one. A form of Vitamin D is formed by chemical reactions in your skin, and can not be "washed off". This advertisement is about tanning bed and sun safety. Quite often, people get too much sun and a sunburn which greatly outweighs the benefits of getting enough Vitamin D3. You can easily get most of your Vitamin D from nutrition. People not getting enough Vitamin D is barely a problem, but skin cancer and sun burns is!

  • @blabblab1212 you don't need to wear a t-shirt or shorts. I'm 16 year old and I've never worn something else then long trousers and I've never had any illnes. That's because I get enough vitamin D.

  • @cheristina That's true. You can get some sun bicycling to school in shorts and a t-shirt. But sunbathing a couple of times a week gives your body maximum exposure to Vitamin D.

  • @blabblab1212 that doesn't mean you have to sunbath, you can also get some sunlight when your cycling to school or whatever.

  • @cheristina You need at least a half hour a day, 3 times a week in the summer noon, preferably around solar noon to build up adequate Vitamin D reserves. Also after exposure it is best to wait 24 hours to bathe with soap as this removes the Vitamin D before it can be absorbed into the skin.

  • @blabblab1212 You don't need that much time outside to get enough vitamine D. the lighter your skin, the less you will need. You can also take vitamine pills with vitamine D. But your body will also absorb vitamine D when you're outside in the shadow with sunscreen. You shouldn't think tanning is healthy because of the vitamine D, because the dangers are bigger than the benefits.

  • Everything is good in moderation. Yes the sun gives off need vitamin D, but it also has many harsh side effects if you are out for too long of a period without sunscreen. Some of these side effects include looking older, and skin cancer. I'm proud to be pale, and have sunscreen on, because in the end I know that I'm not going to be part of some percentage of people who die from over-exposure.
