Hey, just a quick question. I haven't messed around with banjo heads at all. I've always had the top-frosted ones on my banjos. Just wondering what the difference is between the black one and the white frosted ones. Sounds to me like it gives off more of a heavy sound. May just be the mic. Let me know what your opinion is on it. Thanks!

With a nonfristed top, it gives the banjo a slightly deeper sound without the classic bright sound of a traditional banjo. At times I miss the frosted top because of the feel. In my opinion, I wish they made a black frosted head lol.

Thanks, I've sense changed the head back to white to get a traditional look with a completely different sound.
