the problem with ann curry is that her empathy only goes in one direction. she is what might be called an upper west side redneck. there is no nuance to her argument. she wears blinders to half the argument in most cases. it comes from a one sided newsroom that eventually peer pressures everyone into a similar, very narrow point of view. the inbreeding of the old press is as obvious as any one eyed cousin who lives in the deliverance basement.

Why the 2 "oos" & then the "oh" at the list of 3 disgraces? She gestured a lot. Gerkinstock makes a good point, & that's a sad truth in the TV business. I used 2 think 2 myself, "She's white. No, she's Chinese. No, she's white. No, she's Chinese." Come 2 find that she's both white & Japanese. I read that her mother was from Japan, & her father had 2 wait until the end of WWII 2 marry Ann's mother. Ann's father is of more than 1 European race. &, I guess she is cute, Gerkinstock. & she's nice.

I'm so proud I voted for a black guy...it just shows how far I've come in keeping down my own racism... What a load of bullshit! What the hell was that? lol. The election of Barack Obama shouldn't have surprised anyone who wasn't a racist. Any group of people that thinks we need to give ourselves a pat on the back for not being too racist to elect a black president are racists themselves.

@metimes33 - You voted for what he lied about - he didnt stand for smaller gov, less taxes, etc etc... you just voted because you're naive and gullible. Most people voted for him because 1) he was black and 2) because he lied about everything and 3) because he was not Bush
