Another day, another dodgy interview for Wee Jack. While watching, bear in mind this man is leader of our country; he is responsible for a £30bn budget; is responsible for responding to civil emergencies; and is asking for another 4 years in the job.

In Part 2, Oor Jack says the Union dividend is being able to dump nuclear waste in England; supports the Iraq war; and claims everyone, including him, is against nuclear weapons - but backs Trident.

Gordon Brewer sits across the desk from him, weeping inwardly.

I remember this interview well. At the time the SNP lead had dipped slightly in the polls to indicate that they would only just beat Labour, and there would have to be another coalition between one of them and the Lib Dems to form the Scottish Government. When Jack McConnell was asked that simple question of whether or not the party with the most seats should form the next Government, he choked and showed any doubters there may have been that he was incacpable of being upfront and honest.
