January 7, 1942. Deutsche Wochenschau No. 592.On the Finnish front. At an airbase in eastern Karelia. Luftwaffe personnel make model airplanes in their spare time. A Henschel (Hs 126 reconnaissance plane) is deiced for takeoff. Here our troops have quickly become accustomed to ski. A reconnaissance plane returns. A Reihenbild (reconaissance) camera. The film is immediatley developed. The film on the drying apparatus. And here the film is analyzed. In the area around Lake Onega enemy military preparations are detected. The Soviets are preparing to launch a new attack. On the strength of the aerial reconnaissance, the commander of the font sector is contacted. The command launches a counter-strike. The Bolsheviks, who are defending a small village, must be destroyed. The enemy is thrown back before their units could carry out their attack. The village is in the hands of the brave Finnish troops.
