The return of The Vampire Diaries is just weeks away, and we are glad to announce that we are finally getting a sneak peek at season 3, episode 1, which is titled "Bloody." The new clip is aptly titled "Whet Your Appetite," and whet our appetites, it is indeed doing. So in the new TVD snippet, we see a whole new version of Stefan, and he literally sucks the life out of various victims. We see a very down Elena, who is spending a lot of alone time with Damon, who tells her to forget about Stefan because he's not coming back. In a clip that is literally one second long, we see Caroline and Tyler getting really hot and heavy -- which I have to ask -- is this even allowed? A vampire-werewolf hookup? Maybe they're trying to make a baby to compete with Klaus or something. There's also a scene where Stefan grabs Damon by the neck and holds him up against a wall -- commanding Damon to let him go -- my oh my, how the tables have turned here, right? Then in the closing montage of photos at the end of the clip, you know the ones that normally feature Damon, Elena and Stefan??? Well guys, this time around, it's just Elena and Damon. Stefan's even been cut out of those shots. So what does this mean? Could the writers be prepping us for an Elena Damon hookup or is this still just a pipedream?
