You should not twist a tick when trying to remove it. Put tweezers or forceps as closely to your skin as possible then gently pull upwards and it should come out.

I have that same knife :)
so,... i was bit by a tick by doing some lawn mowing one day around i think 6:00pm and noticed it the next day in the morning but the mother fucker wasnt filled up, or its like it wasnt even feeding. it was very small i guess adult stage cuz it was a deer tick, or probably child stage, either way im afraid. so do i haz lyme disease or something

@PinoyPogiman Just because you get bit by a tick doesn't mean you get lime disease. Normally if you get a tick off within 24 hours your chances of getting lime disease are almost none. Keep checking the spot for a bulls eye rash. That means you have lime disease. The only real way to know is check with your doctor.

don't you feel the tick when it starts to lodge itself in you? o_O
damn, that is nasty.

Did you squeeze the body? Normally it will be slightly red and irritated after. Put antibiotic cream on it and go to a doctor if it gets worse.
