Wonderful.
-
I remember hearing this on The Cosmos with Carl Sagan. . . When he was talking about Mars no doubt!
-
Anyone know the conductor and orchestra?
-
@TheVocoderGuy Gladiator with Russel Crowe. first battle scene
-
this tune is so powerful and, somehow, scary ... like something lurking in the shadows of a dark street, by night or, even worse, in the Human's heart and in the black fogs of XXth century's politics ...
Theme for WW2, definitely.

@WWtuts John Williams took a lot of his themes from Holst. Mars was the inspiration for the Bram Stoker's Dracula theme and some of the Star Wars music.
