  • If you think the psychedelic experience is an "easy way" then you're not taking a high enough dose.... a shamanic dose.

  • The Yogic Method Vs. Psychedelics in relation to achieving useful altered states.

  • @Rockyzach88 Oh, yeah, I definitely agree with you on that. Because, when I first took entheogens I didnt know what I was going to experience and all I can say, its like going off a cliff and not knowing what your going to land on... sharp rocks or a nice fluffy surface. And letting-go is a very big part of the process. If you could do it early then you'll probably have better experiences. I just see the psychedelics as teachers though. Not exactly a way.

  • @Tokagawa89 Yeah i wrote this a while ago. I still do not think they are easier considering the fact it takes a lot of nerve to just let go and let it take you. But your right, yoga is probably a good way of preparing for the psychedelic experience, if not experience it in its fullness.

  • @Rockyzach88 Very true. But from personal experience, psychedelics do open doors and give you peeks into the other side but through the practice of meditation or some other spiritual practice, you can access it at command without the use of anything and with more grounding because through the practice your also cultivating your inner-self. Instead of jumping in without any knowledge of what to expect at all. I just see the use of yoga is a different approach using baby steps and deeper meaning.

  • I think what hes talking about is the fact that when you gain spiritual power and u want something, u can have it (ie walk on water, a romantic lover, etc). but in that case it wouldn't be used for enlightenment

  • I think that the missing link between "The Yogic Method Vs. Psychedelics" and "Psychedelics and The Yogic Method" is what Don Juan, in Carlos Castaneda books calls The Essamblage Point... So Psychedelics move the essamblage point and Yogis moves it by themselves... the point is that psychedelics can move it farther than mind by itself, But it is a pity that someone that uses psychedelics is not aware that can actually reach same or very similar states without psychedelics but by itself.

  • @1nqual agreed

  • i completely understand what he is saying, however his metaphors may be too much for the average person to understand. i think even the audience there was a little confused.
