Spat's Theme (Orchestral Version) — Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak

Well, I don't think this is my best song. i think the intro could have been better, but every time I tried to make it better, i ended up making it worse. And, unfortunately, the oboe in the later part of the song was made louder in compression, so a bit of the EQing got thrown off, but that's alright.

Anyway, this is the very first song I've finished using only my (rudimentary) music theory and transposing skills (It's in A# Major, right?). I've been working on a ton of songs by ear, but this is the first I've finished. With only percussion and a lead, it's not a surprise that it's the first I've completed, but I did add some bass and strings and stuff, so all-in-all, I'd say I'm impressed by the potential of mine that this song reflects. It's the first time I've really thought that with a lot of hard work, I can potentially make something fantastic. And while this isn't there yet, I feel like I can get there one day.

This is amazing! This was my favorite game as a kid (and one of the few games that I actually completed), and this remix does justice to that sneaky scoundrel Spat.

There should be a sequel to this game, and this should be in it. >w<

NIce, Stein! I'm not familiar with the song but it sounds great! And working by ear is great, in fact learning to do everything by ear will really improve your music skills.

@flameheadshero Yeah, I'm really glad! I've learned about tonics and keys and scales, and all that stuff that's pretty much necessary for a musician to know. And it only took... two years XD

And i've been working on a lot of other songs by ear, like the ice Climber theme and the Dungeon theme from Zelda II. In fact, you can check out those WIPs right on the forum.

The Time Eater's theme from Sonic Generations sounds almost like Spat's theme but orchestrated. I guess this and the Time Eater's theme are similar.

This is GREAT! I loved this theme in the Hamtaro Ham-Ham Heartbreak game, and was hoping if Spat ever came back his music would be done something like this. ^_^
