This was a very tragic disaster and is such a sad reflection on how humans treat other humans. The blame should rest first with Mayor NAGIN who refused to accept Amtrak's offer to get people out, and school buses, and Gov. Useless Blanco (Thank God Gov. Bobby Jindal was elected to replace her sorry ass). Worst of all, we all have a PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES AND OTHERS. IT IS NOT THE GOVT'S RESPONSIBILITY. I'd like to see nearly all "social" programs nearly eliminated.
