Well, I wouldn't say he's overlooked because many many know his Pop. He does festivals and such and like you say, he does his own thing. I once heard a commercial on radio with some blues rock 'guitar gods' making an appearance in LA somewhere and who's guitar was playing in the commercial? The great Jimmy D Lane. No doubt he's got one of the most powerful sounds in guitar....no BS in his playing. Just in your face. Him and Ronnie Baker Brooks are the rawest of the younger guns IMHO

He gets over looked because there are to many idiots with connections and no talent....Jimmy has the talent but he works instead of networking.He's an awesome player and was around before most of todays blues "superstars" that can't even carry his guitar,much less stand toe to toe with him.
