I had the G1 and you really can't take pictures in the dark. It doesn't have flash...and there are no settings to change the lighting. This was the main reason I returned it. The camera is terrible. I was extremely disappointed. I have the Samsung Behold now, and it puts the g1's camera to shame. I also don't like how the text messaging works..it looks like an IM window...guess some people like it, but if your phone gets in the wrong hands....i guess you can just delete them..

I'd recommend the G1. Especially when it's cheaper than the Memoir. Before i had a phone, most people i knew that had T-Mobile were recommending the G1 for me. I finally got it, and i love it!

how clear is the pictures from this phone i want this phone but deciding between this and the samsung memoir its got a beastly 8 Mp Cam =D but no key board and smaller screen =( Tough decision
