I'm sorry, but this attitude of 'me and my own above others' is what we, as humans, have transcended. It's animalistic, and as you say, we aren't animals. We should think of others. The problems in the world today are mostly the result of selfishness and apathy. You are justifying the superiority and dominance of some over others. Yes, worrying less about your day to day troubles is good, but instead of thinking of nothing, you should think of the wider picture, of society, and humanity.

I like this message very much; beautiful thoughts and emotion but I would consider replacing the music at the end with something more subtle. Its to emotionally leading and the violin melodies are out of tune.
I think this change would create a fuller immersion into your words.
