I stopped watching the series after this...

This was supposed to be the pilot,..the pilot for the original series was wicked,..and dark. This is just cheap and nasty...and why does everyone look so ugly??? Nah,.I prefer Max Steel, .LOL

@mistergeneration I can't help but agree on the ugly factor, but the 2 pilot episodes were made way ahead of the rest of the series, becouse they needed something to show to the channels, becouse you don't buy something you don't know what it is. And yeah, the original pilot was much darker, but that was a series for adults, this one is made especially for children, and not as a remake for the original fans. But still, the series as a whole is really fun to watch, the DVD is worth buying.

Great clip! It was really Captain Black's fault for the mysterons going against them, yet now he is on the mysterson's side :P oh well.

I know, but after all... it was a mistake, so if the Mysterons are so clever, they should know that humans are destructive by nature... The first time I watched the serieus, I really felt for Black in the episode 'Best of Enemies', now he really is the bad guy, but in that episode his human psichy (or however you say it :P) returns, but no the Mysterons retake him as soon as the escape... but anyway, thanks for the reply, it is a great series! (yes, new and old)

It's kind of twisted, when you think about it; the Mysterons are always claiming that WE'RE the violent ones, but they never even CONSIDERED the possibility that the original attack on their city was a mistake and then resort to elaborate plans to blow up an entire planet wihout ANY consideration for innocent people...

Yes it is kind of twisted, but I still don't get Blacks reaction after the attack 'Not yet we haven't! Let's get out of here!' and then just before he gets killed. But then I guess he is pretty scared, so he can't think rationally... But still in Dominion, 'No wait, we've come in peace' why the hell can't Scarlet negociate when Black is back under Mysteron control. instead of 'we want peace' he sais 'You mysteron piece of scum' not very smart in my oppinion... But still, we all make mistakes :P

I've grown up on the original series, and I loved it, but this show was way better in my personal opinion. Sure, the pilots seem rushed and very different to the rest of the show, but it was more intelligent, because they look into themes that the original didn't.

And this show was not made for kids. The original broadcasters released it on Saturday Morning TV, but Gerry Anderson made it as a prime time show. I hope they get it right with the upcoming Thunderbirds TV remake.

Yeah, I believe it costed about 1 milloin pounds per episode... that's a 26 million pound TV series. The original series was ment to be for adults, Thunderbirds was for children, but when they made Captain Scarlet they decided to make the story a lot darker and more realistic. But yeah, In some things I was disappointed to, so a reboot would have been better. I don't mind critism (for some reason I always end up 'defendin' the series :P), except for 'lame' becouse that's no real opinion :P
