I was at this game. I sat in the first row with my feet on the field and the tunnel was to my left. I was 14 at the time and I will never forget that experience. Notre Dame will some day become a national power - too much history not to. GO IRISH!!!!!

I was at this game, we drove from Erie, Pa to be there. I was 12 years old at the time and it was one of the most amazing events in my life. It was a huge surprise to watch the team warm up in the blue jerseys and then later come out of the Trojan Horse and on to the field wearing the green jerseys!

@jimchenry Me too, it was Magical, after we lost to Mississippi earlier that year,we were 7 point underdogs. The rest is history, just ask Earl Campbell, and the rest of the Longhorns we beat later in the season.

USC, The Best college pro team ever! THye gte more cashed dumped into that program that the entire Mountain West Conference gets alone.!

It would have really sucked if we had lost after all this. But the lads as Leahy would have called them were way too high for that to have been a possibility....

BOB, I was there too. After the game, we were making plans for the evening in my brother's room at Alumni Hall when the face of the horse was knocking on the 2nd floor window. Another brother who was up for the game visiting had found the horse outside the stadium. He towed it to Alumni. We raced with it and in it along the South Quad. Campus security finally caught up with us and shouted "Stop horsing around with that ... horse". We fled.
