praying mantis laying an egg sack

caught my african mantis laying another egg sack, this was her last 1 of 4, she layed 1 every few weeks, they never hatched as she never mated. she lived over a year

@keff02 have you seen the male one fertilizing the female one?

i'm just curious because if male doesn't get away as soon as possible, oftentimes female eats the counterpart.

@Woogla it just stopped producing the egg sack... it was like expanding foam u would use to fill gaps in the side of window frames... ended up around 1 inch long x 1 inch wide... no nymphs hatched
