Last week, I questioned defense expert Stephen Daggett, in the House Budget Committee, regarding the cost to American taxpayers of the military operations in Afghanistan. Of course, as he notes, the real cost is in blood and the sacrifice of our service members and their families.
The rednecks and white trash, aka republican base, should pay for the Afghan war through a tax on domestic beer and all merchandise related to NASCAR, golf, Harley-Davidson, Pontiac, guns, country music, christianity, the NFL, Fox, ribbon magnets, U.S. flags, the word 'hero', hatred of foreigners, the uptight white guy gesture of sticking one's thumb up like 'The Fonz' when in agreement...and of course, anything sold at Walmart.

Good line of questioning Mr. Doggett. What a great consumer war is... there's no better!
Unfortunately, We the People are paying for it! What is our return from investment? Dead, maimed, and emotionally damaged soldiers, not to mention a huge expense!
W. would say that engaging the terrorist there is better than engaging them at home. Of course, that's just simpleminded logic from the most corrupt president we've ever had.
I'm disgusted. I'm not alone.
Vote them all out of office in 2010!

$1,000,000 dollars per US soldier in Afganistan
$12,000 per Afgan (Taliban) Soldier
$50,000,000,000 for 50,000 more troops...PER YEAR
and this number is JUST for troops...not including the machines of WAR
$3,600,000,000 per month CURRENTLY
$7,300,000,000 PER MONTH after we send 50,000 more troops
US soldier avg yearly salary =$20,000
so for 1 enemy and 1 American you spend $32,000 to make a million
No wonder this war is endless

well done Mr Doggett. im glad to see your breaking from your party on afghanistan. I am grateful your support for an audit of the federal reserve and a return to fiscal responsibility. sadly im afraid you wont be receiving my vote next fall due to your support for socialized health care... a concept that runs counter to your call for fiscal responsibility in my opinion. perhaps it would be more economical to overhaul the existing system, rather than to create a new one

Income Tax represents 1/3 of the money the IRS collects each year.
Last year, every penny of it was spent on bailouts and WARS
Rather than spend it to murder women and children, spend it on taking care of our sick and unemployed.
Furthermore, the 70% of corporations that do not pay taxes, need to pay taxes just like the rest of us. Either we all pay...or no one pays.
We must destroy the corruption in our nation, or that corruption.... will destroy us.
