Why do I have to vote a certain way?

Abortion and homosexual marriage are steps forward for freedom. Just because you follow a nonsensical dogma doesn't mean that it should be law. Follow whatever irrational teachings you want - but don't try to cram it down everyone's throat. Church is separate from state for a reason.

This is ridiculous, if this is your standard then why did you vote Bush into office TWO times?!

@badpanda84 you have to vote a certain way to be a GOOD catholic.

Are you single? I have this gorgeous Catholic daughter. . and she's going to kill me!

Excellent point, youngcatholic!
Human life trumps all else. That just makes sense, no matter what religion you practice, but the more you explore Catholic teaching, the more sense it makes.

The problem now is that pretty much all the candidates end up being tyrants in some way because they want to be president. If we had it so that the person that the majority of all possible voters wanted in office was made president we would be much better off.

@songbird9028 If you paid attention to the comment they made a year beforehand you would have noticed they did not vote for Bush.

@ToxicBlitz You are fool for thinking that feelings can trump justice. There is no wholsome reason behind either homosexuality or abortion. They simply based on selfishness.

I disagree with you about sin. There are only two kinds of sin; mortal and venial. Now, if you're talking about "participating materially in the evil of others" when you say "social sin," I agree that that's horrible, but it's much worse for one person to decide freely that they're going to kill a child than it is for a society to have a bad economy, or cut down a few trees.
marmstrong,we agree with you that the Republicans have not ended abortion when they could have. As Catholics, we are not bound by having to vote for either major party. Jesse promoted Chuck Baldwin in 08 & neither he or Eric voted for Bush. given the choice between someone who will ACTIVELY promote abortion & one who at least votes prolife on bills in front of him, I think its an easy choice. That being said, both major parties have serious flaws, which is why we really believe in third parties.

Way to use a black presidential candidate as a villian.

Um, the actor playing the candidate is actually Caucasian, and his appearance isn't altered in any way. Maybe it was dark outside? :) Also, there is no allusion in this video to the level of candidacy or race of the candidate.
