It is. The only real yard between Harisburg and Pittsburg is Altoona. Some of the trains may trminate in Altoona, but the vast majority are bound for Pittsburg - and thus must go over the curve.

what train had the three P42s
was it amtrak 59 (04T Pennsylvanian) or a main line train like the sunset limeted

Sorry but I have no clue. I see train, I photo train. What it is, well, it's a train!! :)
This was on the line between Harrisburg and Pittsburg, if that helps.
