There are types of rapping.

1. Storytellin' = A Story with some flow.

2. Rhymekickin' = Showing rhymeskills with mad flow.

2. Freestylin' = Taking few element's of the other songs and puttin' it together in the head.

3. Off The Domin' = Rhyming straight off da head.

4. New schoolin'/fakin' = rapping about Money, wemen, drugs, etc. with no flow.

Sure young jeezy and lil wayne and shit suck but it seems like your forgetting that old school 'real rappers' like Mobb Deep, Nas, Redman, big l and especially biggie were always rapping about materialistic objects, drinking and women. Let's get one thing straight, rappin' about ''real'' stuff doesn't make u a good emcee. What makes u a good emcee is your way to express yourself, how u lay down your rhymes, flow etc. And rappin about materialistic stuff doesn't necessary make u a bad emcee, u can still do it in a skillful way, most rappers brag that's why their is a style of lyrics called braggadocio, u either brag about your skills or your wealth doesnät matter as long as your good at emceeing.
