  • These Duluth videos that you and the other guy post are great. I watch the Duluth webcams almost every day, but these videos make it more real. My uncle Stuart worked in the dry docks there. Maybe one of you guys could post the longest ship on the great Lakes, the Paul Tregurtha. I'm not sure you could tell the extra 13 feet. All the 1000 footers look similar. Thanks from South Carolina

  • I do have a video of the Tregurtha that I might be able to post in a week or two. It's kinda shaky--I didn't have a tripod at the time. You really can't tell the difference between her and her sister ships, the Mesabi Miner (in the video above) and the James R. Barker (the American Spirit also has a similar design). The other 1000 footers, with the exception of the Edgar B. Speer, Steward J. Cort, and Presque Isle, fall into another class of ships that look very similar.

  • What song is this?

  • The song is "Return of Life: Out of Darkness/Transformation" by David Arkenstone on his CD "Return of the Guardians"

  • exelent video!!!! well DONE!!!!!!!

  • The american victory won't sail this year.. and the mesabi miner will not sail unless the paul r tregurtha goes back into lay-up

  • It's a shame Oglebay Norton went into bankruptacy and had to sell all their ships, but I'm still glad they continue to sale with ASC. Though I wish they had'nt have turned the Reserve and Buckeye into barges >:P
