A Cappella ...
hit from album United (1967) without music.

If this world were mine, I'd place at your feet
All that I own, you've been so good to me.
If this world were mine, I'd give you the flowers, the birds and the bees For with your love inside me, that would be all I need.
If this world were mine
I'd give you anything

If this world were mine,
I'd make you a king
With wealth untold, you
could have anything
If this world were mine
I'd give you each day so sunny and blue
If you wanted the moonlight,
I'd give you that too
If this world were mine
I'd give you anything

Oh baby, you're my consolation
And there's no hesitation
When you want me, honey, just call me

And honey, you're my inspiration
And I feel so much sensation
When I'm in your arms,
when you squeeze me

Every sky would be blue
As long as you're lovin' me

With you here in my arms
Life is so wonderful

Give me pretty lovin', baby
Give me pretty lovin', honey
Keep on lovin' me

You know I need you, baby
Really, really need you, baby
Keep on lovin' me
...

  • How great is this?

Marvin & Tammi were SINGERS who did not need autotune and overproduction.

I challenge you to name a present day artist who could do something as perfect and beautiful as this.

  • WOW. That's all I can say. I was in high school when this came out. I gave the LP to a girlfriend for Christmas. Brings back warm memories. I had never heard the Acapella version until now. There is no point in comparing the talents of Tammi & Marvin to the artist of today. What I heard here was pure and rich vocal talent. No electronics or autotone crap. Listen closely to the foot tapping and the stromming guitar keeping the time in background. Makes me think the vocal track came first.
