That's funny you attempt to discredit information from a book written 400 yrs ago while at the same time citing from a book written thousands of yrs ago

the only thing this clip made me think was, are there really people who believe this? this might be the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. mostly because all of this is based on one name found in a book written 400 years after Jesus and Mary Magdalene lived. This book has no proven connection to the New Testament and should not be used as undeniable proof. Experts around the world disagree strongly with these claims, and support their ideas with much more substantial evidence.

In later centuries his story was "enhanced" to "sell" it to the masses. All the magic stuff (including the physical arising) was added in later centuries, and so distorting the real story. The people who did this (including the ones who labeled Mariamne a prostitute) never understood Jesus.

He died physically but arose spiritually and so conquered death. His followers saw his spirit later. They continued his movement. His body, his empty shell, was interred in the tomb with later his close family.

I think the real story is this: Jesus was just an ordinary but at the same time very special man who preached the gospel of love in a time when the gospel of death was and unfortunately still is dominant. Men AND women followed him. He met and married Mariamne. She was very special to him, because she understood his message of love. Mariamne was, just like the others, one of his apostels. They had a son together. He was murdered because he was a threat to the dominant order.

They say that Jesus's family would have been to poor to afford a burial like this. Than, tell us who is this prominent family who could afford a this type of burial. What a sin has mail dominated christianity done in the early days by portraying Mary Magdalen as a prostitute just because wanted to create a god out of a simple carismatic preacher.

Christian fundamentalists can try to kill this compelling story as much as they want. It all comes down to statistics and the question: Try to find another family in ancient Jerusalem with exact match as this one.

Why divied by 1000 "representing all 1st century Jerusalem tombs"? I don't understand this step in the probability calculation. Seems to me the 1 in 600,000 is mroe correct that "1 in 600".

This was a very well done show and really made me think. Thanks for posting. Do you have any more of it?
I liked the one in two million but Simcha said they did everything they could to disprove their hypothesis
