lived in that country a few years but busy studying so not a lot of free time to look for surf. often fun little waves off the malecon (beach road) in santo domingo. i remember a major hurricane swell that turned malecon beach into what looked like sunset beach; 10 - 14 foot, at least 3 reefs, inside , middle, and outer. mind blowing surf, offshore winds
