I creative and performed this solo as a tribute to the Classical and Modern dance forms from India. The music I used is traditional as well as patriotic. I did a lot of research about ancient and customary dance practices in India, prior to any choreographic attempts, in order to become loosely familiar with some authentic movement patterns. In the end, my goal was to do my best to honor this culture with my own artistic interpretation and skill.
