You don't see much of the engine but you can hear the noise!

  • Manchester North up to their usual tricks again, a red followed by any other colour :-(

  • To be fair it was a signal failure. Buggered the Deltic up though trying to start 1 coaches plus an engine on the bank-a 37 would have done it easily!

  • @IanCane Its true, too. I love both types but surely the 'thousand' has got the edge for the first mile or two. Starting off behind a Deltic is very steam-era for the first part. It gets better later, though..!

  • @abbymickD1015 could do a standing start with10 coaches the Delitic and a 47 on the back. Deltics gather speed, D1015 accelerarates...............rapidly.

  • A truly awesome noise nothing like a deltic on full thrash and listen to that boom when she closes down on the signal. There is truly nothing like a deltic on the mainline.

  • where the hell is this , sounds like poor 22 is bursting , i bet its only on 1 engine and would most likely fly up there now on 2 engines as i dont think a 37 is stronger than a deltic ?? nice vid though thanks

  • A 37! LOL. D1015 could do a standing start with 10+ on no probs!
