capacitor replacement in RAV4 EV

The magnecharger created more problems than it solved; in fact, a simple PLUG and OUTLET is the best way to charge an EV.

On the RAV4-EV, you have to bypass the magnecharger to get conductive charging.

In this magnecharger input port, there was a factory-flaw in one capacitor; it fails pretty regularly. We went years without using the magnechager at all, just using a plug.

Today, we replaced the capacitor and restored the magnecharger circuitry to working condition on this RAV4-EV.

You can see a vid on my channel. But it only shows the conductive port for the normal charger. The fast charge port is on the LH side of the car. You can just see the flap for that when it drives past. I got pics of it if you want.

I prefer the RX8, that thing is pretty cool. Maybe not in the same league as the RX7, but it's still a nice car.

Yeah and the Mazda MX-5/Miata is a perfect example. That series of cars is perfect in just about every way. Besides, they're all convertibles!! Thanks, Japs!!
