William Patrick Rudd
27, of Madisonville, Ky.; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Ga.; died Oct. 5 of wounds sustained from enemy small arms fire while on a combat patrol in Mosul, Iraq.

My son Cpl Ryan McGhee fought along side of Sgt Rudd. Ryan introduced him to me last summer before they deployed. He was a nice man. Ryan moved from Company B to Company D. Ryan called me when Ricky died in Iraq. We bought his KIA bracelet together. Ryan was killed in Iraq on May 13. Now heaven has two warriors to fight for us. Rest in Peace Ricky.
