He was never poor, didn't start out in a garage and didn't make his money in a fair way. I suggest you read about Microsoft's dealings through the late 70's and into the 80's to see how he really made his money. The only "good idea's" he had where backstabbing friends and taking advantage of other peoples stupidity. He had some vision, but it only came through with luck and questionable tactics.

He was dirt poor when he started out? Might want to do your homework on him... his wikipedia bio "His family was wealthy; his father was a prominent lawyer, his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate Bank" kid went to private schools all his life. But I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your sentiments.. hell I'm a business major, the truth is we're all trying to fight for our slice of the pie and a capitalist society allows that.

No, by all means, hate them. They are the ones who don't deserve the money. I'm not talking about the vast majority here; I'm talking about Bill Gates, because he made his money in a fair way- the way this capitalist society intends.
But Bill Gates grew up working out of his mom's garage. He was dirt poor when he started out, and he worked his way all the way up the socioeconomic ladder. He had a good idea; he made money off of it. GET OVER IT.
