This video means nothing. No one here is doing nothing especially the Worksource Employment department where you are a number. The REAl rate here is 26% if not more. MSI laid me and 199 others off and got lower wages in Arkansas because NAAFTA is legal and there are tons of companies here that have done the same thing because NAAFTA has made it legal and our govt is getting a check for sending jobs abroad. Evil has struck this country and it is not getting better. I hate what Portland has done.

@coursestudent I don't think Storm Large quite makes it. The peak of her career was being on Rockstar Supernova. She came back to Portland, and now apparently is a celebrity -- at least in Portland. She just wrote a book, and is about do star in an Off Broadway version of it. I first saw her perform at a place called Dantes, which I believe is a place that you (Courtney) used to perform in, back when it had a different name. It's on Burnside right next to Chinatown.

@shellylovelace I can only think of about two from off the top of my head: 1. Matt Greoning, creator of The Simpsons. (Many characters on The Simpsons are named after streets in Portland, such as Rev. Lovejoy, etc.) 2. Will Vinton, creator of Claymation (the dancing and singing California Raisins from the early 1990s). Oh, wait, I can think of a third ... Chuck Palahniuk, author of Fight Club. But these people aren't necessarily famous personally; their works are.
