I was in the cockpit of the eurofighter. I saw the C-17 when I was in the queue line, but it was worth it. They took a photo of me and then an employee said that I should come back in two years ;-)

  • Hey man

Out of interest, how tall are you?

It seems like quite a small cockpit.

Its just i'm applying for the RAF, and I want to estimate whether I would fit into this thing ;D

  • I don't know exactly.

    I think I'm about 5.9 ft tall.

  • It's spider man theme.

  • funny, it reminds the Israeli Lavi that was made in the 80's.

  • Nice spiderman music...

  • @PSPmaster321 If I can remember correctly, if youy want to be a fast jet pilot you can't be any taller than 6'2 and no heavier than 16 stone. This is mainly because the Grob Tutor (elementary training aircraft) won't take anyone over those limits. I dug the info up on a forum which there was a RAF applicant talking about height and weight so I can't confirm everything is true but it seems true enough.

  • After playing lomac so many times I bet I would have started the engines and closed the canopy. THey would be like WTFFFFF !!! PEeeeeeace !

  • @PSPmaster321 they are extreamly roomy

  • im 6,1 and fit in the eurofighter just fine ;)

  • Thanks for the info man.

Farnborough is an awesome, but I also like the Air Tattoo, i've been 6 times now =D

Damn, that doesn't sound good for me, i'm 6ft exactly.

  • I sat in the cockpit of one at Farnborough Air Show (2006 I think it was), and at 5ft 11' / 180cm it was tight but I think doable even if they gave me a helmet and lowered the canopy.

  • Ok cool.

    Thanks! =)

  • i was in turkey and i sat in the f-16 in a museum

  • The ejection set is not armed all the time

  • ive sat in a tutor tornado f3 chinook seaking jaguar tornado gr4 harrier and its not a real live typhoon cause they dont let civies sit in with the ejector seat live

  • I was just waiting for Spiderman to walk across the background.

    lol

  • i've done that in a 29 sqd typhoon at coningsby

  • in france ? bourget paris

  • Aaargh!!

Is it a Typhoon from RAF or from Luftwaffe? In Italy they don't allow us to seat in.... :-(((
