I always like a happy ending
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

YIKES it hit me hard to make this video. I've got to PRAY BIG from now on. Else I'm responsible for the world's problems. See Leviticus 26, Deut 28, 1Kings 9, 2Chron7:14. We believers have a lot to answer for at the Bema. And since I know this doctrine so well, I'm more at fault for whatever goes wrong! Ouch!

Amen, Laras. We underestimate the Power of God in Christ Jesus, huh. Well, no more! I'm asking Him for EVERYTHING, now!

If ya dont ask you wont recieve :-)

All this is true. I also learned that those who are ignorant of this but sincere, God is very forgiving until they learn, and then holds people responsible for what they know.
Prayer is shockingly, frighteningly real, and for a long time I was afraid of asking for anything because I knew something was going to happen, something I feared being responsible for.
I ask for things now, but very careful about it.

Amen, 45don13. God likes to answer prayer on or near birthdays. Near Adam's birthday, Seth was born. Near Jared's birthday, Enoch was born (490 years apart, when you adjust the birthdays). Near Noah's 501st birthday, his triplets (?) were born, and for his 600th birthday, God granted the Flood.
Abraham's 100th birthday is famous for the birth of Isaac. Moses' 80th birthday present was to be sent back to Egypt, and Exodus was his 81st birthday present. (Continued)

So I think David was born or crowned on 25 Chislev, the birthday of Christ per Haggai 2 even before that date was known as the beginning of Chanukah, commemorating the day Antiochus IV Epiphanes offered pig sacrifices.
Now, I asked God to get rid of Gorbachev and open Russia for Bible -- seven years later on my birthday, Yeltsin put him under house arrest. 15 years later I learned the above about birthdays.

So like you, I'm today QUITE chary of what I request. The Gorbachev prayer was made when I barely knew Bible. But I knew the procedure explained in these videos. So it doesn't require spiritual matuity. It's LEGAL for any believer who follows that procedure. Obviously.
Today, I always caveat it with 'what My Lord SAYS this prayer means, I absolutely vote for', and anything else I said is subject to that. Not gonna make the same mistake I made with Russia, again!

I've had similar experiences proving to me how easily God can and will alter what seems like unalterable circumstances, simply because I asked! When I became aware of this, I suddenly knew my thoughts could put into motion THE most powerful force of all, the very force responsible for creation itself, and become quite frightened of it.
What I don't get is why some seem naturally in tune with God in varying degrees and some seem lost to the experience of God, finding prayer as talking to a void.

46don13, so true! Prayer is a litmus test of our relationship with God. If prayer is difficult or stunted or rotelike, there is no functional relationship (even though saved).
1John1:9 and wanting to know God through His Word is the remedy, but people won't use it.
Yeah, all anyone has to do is just ASK. It's not our merit, it's HIS, so like He said, just ask. Even if an atheist looks at the ceiling and asks because genuinely wants proof of God -- he'll get it!
