It's so funny, when detroit won in '08, everything was fine...but when the Pens won in '09, suddenly it was because Bettman was loving Sid. Face it Detroit, you were beaten fair and square (actually, you were beaten not by Crosby, but by Max Talbot)

@ILoveTorriesPuppies that would make alot more sense. and im actually hoping for the same thing. that would make it the greatest vintage styled arena currently. all these new arenas have these led lights going all the way around and 3 decks and whatnot. i want them to keep the 2 bowl layout without making it look like every other arena out there.

@cbone72 the wings fans stuck around to watch the pens hoist the cup, up until the pens got off the ice. they were even there for the team picture with the cup. now tell me how empty mellon arena was when the wings took their tea photo with the cup. and how classless the pens fan was saying detroit sucks during a pre game interview with mickey redmond. pens fans have got to be the least classy fans out there.

@dreforsleep For sure. I love the Joe. But I hope they build the new arena with the old Olympia outside and the Joe Louis Arena Inside. That would be so sweet. The new arena will most likely be right behind Hockeytown Cafe across from Comerica Park and Ford Field. Then all three would be within walking distance thus hopefully providing the other two stadiums' Parking Garages and lots. I really hope they keep the parking garage connected to the arena too. Just make a bigger garage.

Thanks. I sat 13th row this game. I've been to Wings games in the "Nosebleeds" and in the first few rows of the upper bowl. This was my first ever game in the lower bowl...and it is an unbelievable, truly humbling experience. There really isn't a bad seat at the Joe. The only things wrong with the Joe from a fan's standpoint is small seats and not enough bathrooms..both of which will be fixed when the Red Wings move to a new arena, probably sometime in the next five years. Let's Go Wings!!!
