I don't really care what you studied. No matter how much knowledge you have of psychology, you weren't on that bus. You were not in the man's mind. He hadn't gotten help before. Several things indicate it was planned. He had also bought that huge knife knowing he was going to do something. Schizophrenia and other completely legitimate mental disorders are largely used and abused by criminals when there are true schizophrenics that really need help & they get a bad rep by beasts like Vince Li.

Why did he carry the knife? Our legal system is fucked up. Prosecution should have focused on that.
-
@Honnandi no look it up fuckface
-
How about we cut him up and eat him... Jeez I could move to Canada murder someone act crazy and get a place with free rent
-
That guy is criminally insane. He needs to be locked up and the key thrown away.
-
@freelancebadboy I know crazy! Plus there are thousands of people with mental problems that don't have access to help because it takes so long, yet they are willing to treat him.
-
It should of at least been manslaughter or second degree murder because he was carrying that huge knife. isn't it the same as carrying a gun?
-
that a way to turn the focus off of you...claim they are evil..can't believe some ate gullible enough to hear this sob story on behalf of the killer. Oppionions 'm are like azzholes and as far as im concerned the rest of them are as psycho as he was.

This is full of shit. If this motherfucka is not found guilty then how the Fuck it took a lot of shit for OJ to be found innocent. This asian did this in the fucking spotlight and he gets off. I DONT FUCKING UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ANYMORE AND I THINK THE WORLD SHOULD END TOMORROW.....
He was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. By professionals who know what their talking about. Dude had an extreme case of schizophrenia. The judge had no choice by Canadian law to let him go.
It is not a bullshitter disease. Keyword Schizophrenia and maybe you'll know a bit more of what patients go through. They are vast amount of networks out there to convince you that it is not bullshit. Do you research before you say it is injustice.

Justice is always and should always be about the victim. He was not a patient in a hospital he was a passenger on a bus.

I am sad to say justice is served and your message is for someone who is sane when they committed this crime, sorry that doesn't apply in this case.
Imagine you're convinced you're gonna get lucky and that girl in the bar is going home with you but you ignore the fact she is a lesbian, is brushing you off. The voices are that convincing, that is what schizos go through. Your convinced what you're doing is right and your voices guide you ignoring any facts and reasons that you usually have.

This scenario does not deserve a response, sorry.

Liberal: So you're saying if someone who has been sexually abused all her life, finally breaks and hurts the abuser. She should get the full sentence given for the crime she committed? ?Have some leniency.
Schizoohrenia, it is one of the most outrageous mental disorders out there (wikpedia schizophrenia). These people are convinced what their voices are telling them and when they are in their episodes, not much people can snap them out of it.

Why not? The abused in this "make believe" scenario failed to act on her own behalf through the law and acted outside the law. She would in my opinion have to face the consequences of her actions.
Your scenario implies to me that should someone be hurt by another they are then entitled to hurt someone themselves.
