Using VirtualBox to run Ubuntu 10.10 in a vm

In this episode we download and install VirtualBox 3.2.10; we create a virtual machine and then install Ubuntu 10.10 into it; finally we install the VirtualBox Guest Additions onto the Ubuntu vm for optimum ease of use and performance.

Can you delete this when your done with it so you can get back all allocated memory?

@god2many VirtualBox only uses memory when it is running the vm, just like any other app, I guess.

@clonearmycustomsrulz There are 32 and 64-bit versions of VirtualBox. I think you need to download the other one ;-)

wonder if you could help me with this please.I have a screen resolution of 1440x 900 , i have looked in monitor preferences but it only goes up to 1360x 768 is there any other way i can alter the resolution please

@MrWaynemarshall make sure you have installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions.

This will allow you to go full screen.

i tryed to install ubuntu 11.04 onto virtualbox 4.0.8 but it froze to the bit when the bias confrigration bit

I can get mine to install and it will work for a while but after a few boots it takes me back to the install page.
