I am Singaporean and I would like to defend my accent. Our accent is almost monotone which means our tone is closest to the robotic tone. It means that when we speak, we conserve the most energy.

I'm Singaporean, I don't speak like that but let me say, the way he does the accent is quite spot on. Some Singaporeans actually speak like that but those are the older ones, good job. :) Love it that the audience in the background know Nasi Lemak and also Chicken rice. o.O

@bossyboots55 awh that's a lil mean to call it 'horrible'. Just because it sounds unpleasant to your ears doesn't mean it's ultimately "bad". Foreign accents may sound odd and funny to pple but it doesn't change e fact that 'SINGLISH' has become the nation's icon. The govt may nt condone it but i think it's a shame cos it's Spore's identity. ;P

oh i meant 'tiring'in the sense of being exasperating. and difficult to tolerate. ...I can speak in proper english as well as singlish . But i dont make it a habit of speaking singlish. We shouldnt ....its not cool. its horrible.
