Treating a cat flu requires giving the cat prescription antibiotics and fluids through an IV, as sickly felines will often avoid eating and drinking, causing them to worsen much more quickly. Seek immediate veterinary care if a cat shows signs of discharge, sneezing or loss of appetite with helpful information from a practicing veterinarian in this free video on pet care.

  • @cutyvill good, glad to hear it! She is strong kitty :-D x

  • @Jenn0s0h085 she's doing great thank you for asking ..^_^..

and her operation went very well :D

  • @cutyvill Yeah could be, she would be lethargic and a bit weaker if she was put under a general anasthetic, and most cats don't eat properly for a few days after an operation (cos of the tube they put in their throat makes it a bit sore),so all these factors could make her a little more suseptible to illness. Once she is stronger again her immune system should kick in and she will fight it :-)

Let me know how your kitty does! xxx

  • @Jenn0s0h085 so is it because she was weak ?

because she had an operation the two-three days ago and I think her immune system is not as strong as before....

  • @cutyvill I don't think animals can catch human viruses - as far as my research has shown anyway! I was concerned when a few of my friends started getting swine flu, I thought if I got it, I could pass it onto my pets. Apparently this isn't so, no reported cases of passing on flu to animals.

  • i think my cat got the flu from me XD

  • @kittycat1201 Take her to the vet. Sickness in animals can get worse very fast (like the vet in the vid said)

  • my little kitten has cat flu..and i just got her! i am trying to clear it up but i dont know how. she drinks, eats and pees all day and that is good, but she is sneezing alot and had runny nose. she has has vitamin C, water and soft food. Please tell me what to do

  • I've 3 cats and they all have flu, i'm fed up with it.

  • Cats get sick and undergo illness.
