thats interesting i have the top one and its the model-1001z i didn't know they made the bottom one i collect cb i have mine mounted to the wall in the house i use a better ones it the pickups

@skpeisgay I have mine in doors hook it up to a little 9 volt battery on an 18 volt drill battery hope this helps
