you have to keep in mind that wherever jimmy carter shows up anywhere, whenever he says something, journalists will write about it. so when there is something terrible going on somewhere, like a largescale genocide, and the media doesnt really talk about it, then it helps to get people like jimmy carter and others to the area to talk to local people. and its not just the media, activist groups around the planet turn to the elders if they want to know where help is most needed.

Mr Branson, I must say that I am a little cynical about this project. I mean, Jimmy carter couldn't even handle the hostage crisis properly, how will he manage to bring peace to the middle east ??? But keep up the good work anyways.
