A goofy collection of me playing a bunch of my favorite Dream Theater solo breaks. I used to use this to warm up...it's not flawless but I was trying to have some fun with it. I think these sort of things are a little silly, but why not litter the internet with more shred nonsense? Everyone goes through a Petrucci phase, am I right?

  • hello, please could u tell me how u get that petrucci sound? I also have a triaxis and it doesnt sound like that... Which mode do u use for those rythm parts? do u use the fulltone or the rc booster also for playing that?. Thanks in advance :)

  • Thanks a lot for the comment. The triaxis settings were (I believe I haven't changed them since then)...Lead 2 Yellow (Mark II C+ setting) Gain 8 Treble 5 Mids 1 Bass 3 Lead 1 Drive 0 Lead2 Drive 8 Master Volume 5 Presemce 3.5 Dynamic Voice 8...Also using the deep extend function on the 2:90 power amp triggered off the triaxis. There's a little EQ and delay coming from the Digitech 2101 too...EQ just mellows out the top a little, Delays are around 600ms. It's a lot of little things contributing

  • hey man

    I have a question.....

I have the same guitar rig-Triaxis-2101-2:90

I find my triaxis is not able to get serious gain (rectifier like) - do you find this too? are you running a distortion box infront in this video?

because you have a great crunch on here

    -thanks

  • Thanks Kimblez! Yeah...straight in it doesn't drive as much as I would like. I actually drive a little more signal from the Digitech XP100 that has an input level...also, There are times where I'm using the Fulltone Fulldrive 2 for a little more sustain. You might try a clean boost pedal too. I really love the RC Booster from Xotic. Minimum coloration of tone, but more signal. Best of luck!

  • What song is the 2nd song ?

  • That's "Lines in the Sand" from "Falling into Infinity".

  • wrong. it's all these dickheads that wear theirs too low who are wrong. they think it looks cool. the proper height at which to wear it is the one that is most comfortable, not the one that you think makes you look the coolest.

  • Petrucci is a genius good job :D
