  • I think this is clearly the best of the rathbone sherlock holmes films.The atmosphere,the lighting with the use of shadows,the twists.It also has a little of the occult and supernatural as well.The house of fear and the pearl of death i think are the only other ones worth watching.I will say though,that it has the usual cliche,where the villian gets talky,instead of just killing the hero.And the the villian is pretty wooden.But there's so much greatness in it,i overlook those flaws.

  • @machtrebel It actually should be 'La Mort Rouge' but never mind that. They probably didn't have a language consultant on their team.
