Fascinating! As a child, I recall my father (who was quite an antique collector), bringing home 2 stereoscope viewers, a hand-held and a nice, large box model. I looked at Matthew Brady scenes and others for HOURS. I later developed a desire to create my own 3D scenes on my computer and make my own models!

aaahh I'm always frusrated when they say "we can't show you these images on a regular monitor" - yes they can I have a 3d monitor and youtube also has the new 3d tags that allow you to view the using red/cyan glasses. amateurs...
