Tiptoe was the #1 hit of 1929. It was the show-stopper of Nick Lucas in "The Golddiggers of Broadway." Here's a version by an ordinary joe without a falsetto voice. Likely this is the way it would have sounded NOT ON BROADWAY, but on the front porch in 1929.

I'm Ken Kelly. I strum with the Kansas City Ukesters on the 2nd Monday of the month at St. Pius X Church, 55th and Woodson in Mission, KS 6:30-8:30PM. Come join us (free) for simple songs. Savor the wonderful simple uke music.. It's fulfilling to make your own music and so easy with the uke.
