Three-leg subsoiler being used for spot drainage in a field in Holland. Seen from the road where I left my loaned bike (much easier to park) and got this useful bit of work. Must have been school holidays, too.

  • Not fully sure to be honest, he'd just braught it to the local mechanic who spilt it when i seen it.. You could literaly see about an inch diameter hole in the side of the block!!!. Presume Main dealer would cover or atleast cover labour cost atleast??

When he rang main dealer first they said it'll cost around 11k. Preety much all i know about it

Right, got it (at last!). I thought the repair bill meant the farmer would have to pay, but I was wrong. He meant there'd be a repair for someone - which is clearly the case! One of our local dealers is changing to Case so I'll be up there before long, to see what they have got. . . . Alan

Have re-read. Yours, too. You said it blew a piston - surely you meant the tractor? 11k repair bill means no warranty cover, presumably? Hence my comment. Can you clarify?

  • @balmesh Reread your post there, Stohl are owned by CaseNewHolland. They're good enough, we've one on the tractor at home never gave us any trouble. I spoze warranty will cover it??,

Hey, that's not funny. Buying new, you expect no repair bills for a while.

  • @balmesh Think it's k-special or kinematic or something. Only know that because a local fella has one on mxu 120/125?, which blew a piston out side of the engine some how. 18 months old and already has an 11k repair bill. Was over looking at it, your mans not a rough operator and she was dealer serviced at start of November
