A class mate (college Canado Haitien) that i haven't seen for over 40 years.Ti claude is still one of the best.

I just recently heard 'Manoushka"for the first time in over 25 years. While watching it I fell in love with Ti Claude Marcelin. I can't get him out of my head. This is what one calls infatuation, because I've seen him for years and never felt that way. I think the song and the recent tragedy in Haiti made me ultra sensitive and very nostalgic.

The album notes credit the guitar solo to Robert Martino. Ti Claude likely played the 2nd guitar.
Actually, listening to the solo on can tell it's Robert and not Claude Marcelin playing. The guitar solo is my least favorite part of the song. Great album BTW.

This is definitely not Robert Martino playing. On this album Martino played the solo on "we gotta move on" and the intro solo on "konsa nou ye.

Its so happened that Robert Martino was a big influence on Claude Marcelin, in that sense, your ears did pick up something there.Nevertheless, Martino and Marcelin are two different players; Martino's style is somewhat esoteric, where Marlin's seems to be reaching out to all.
