Those are not big waves. Big waves is when the deck is under water, the boom is touching the water from time to time and the cockpit gets flooded. Looks an uncomfortable ride, that's it. Try doing 10 ft waves on a 25ft boat.

This is calm compared to what I've seen on Lake Michigan.

I'm confused. Where are the big waves? Doesn't even look like the sails are out. Looks like a nice steady breeze to put the main up with a single reef and a working job. HEAL THAT BOAT OVER!

ive sailed alot and that wasnt big waves... but for 7days it could be much. i suppose you were a little of seasick!? ive sailed 35foot Malö sailboat in 3meter high waves in "Skagerrak" and the waves was coming straight towards us... 2knots on the way op to the top of the wave and BANG down from it! luckyly it only lasted for a couple of hours on our 16hour trip from sweden to norway

Those were big for me, especially afte being on it for 7 days and 6 nights straight. ... and yes, they were 3 footers. We were sailing aboard 34' yacht were waterline to deck was about 3-4 feet.
